Really enjoyed the article - cheers! I do like Heron now, it’s taken about 4 decent upgrades. Still don’t like the thumbnail presentation in Nautilut, but that’s not all Ubu’s fault.
Have the same impressions about firefox beta being included and when I downgraded to ver 2, it seemed behave just as bad anyway. So I’m back to the beta and I think its working better - not a benchmarked opinion admittedly

@Jay cool! Didn’t know that, are you talking about Heron or previous versions? I always thought that the Kubuntu was more or less neglected by Canonical

@Glenn Well at least you got it working! I think your case is the exception and not the rule. It’s funny how people react differently with different OS’s. For example had it been an Apple, I believe most people would have figured something out to get their hardware working, or parted with the whole function or bought something compatible, this is because they paid for it and already invested in the purchase. However in Linux’s case people aren’t financially invested, so they just move along to the next OS, or revert to the old one….

Nice review! I’ve got my Dad running 7.06, I think I’ll have to upgrade him to Hardy Heron.

Thanks for the review. I know what my laptop is being treated to this weekend. Sounds like finally I’ll be able to have some decent sort of multi-monitor setup without it being an absolute nightmare this time.
